Peptides – Frequently Asked Questions

Do the peptides (e.g.,Tirz, Sema) come in pre-filled pens?

No. All peptide products are supplied as lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sterile, vacuum-sealed 3ml glass vial.

How should peptides be reconstituted?

For in-vitro research and laboratory use only, peptides may be reconstituted within their original vial using bacteriostatic water or another suitable research-grade diluent. The method and volume of reconstitution should be determined by the purchaser in accordance with their own experimental protocols.

How much bacteriostatic water should be added?

Each vial has a maximum physical capacity of 3ml. The amount used for reconstitution should be selected according to the specific in-vitro research application.

Is a 10mg peptide vial the same as a 10mg pen?

A 10mg vial contains a total of 10mg of peptide material. If a comparison to a pre-filled pen device is required for research purposes, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to determine equivalence based on total peptide content.

How many doses does a vial contain?

The total peptide content per vial is clearly stated in the product description. We do not provide dosing information or usage instructions, as all products are intended exclusively for in-vitro research and laboratory purposes.

What dose should I start with?

We cannot and do not provide any advice relating to dosage or administration. These products are not intended for human consumption, veterinary use, diagnostic purposes, therapeutic applications, or any other form of medical treatment. They are not drugs, medicines, supplements, or food additives.

Why does it say “Not for human or animal use”?

This statement is a legal and regulatory requirement. All peptide products sold by us are intended solely for in-vitro research and laboratory purposes. They are not manufactured, licensed, or approved for human or veterinary use, and therefore cannot be used for consumption, medical treatment, or diagnostic purposes. This ensures compliance with UK legislation governing the sale and use of unlicensed research chemicals.

How long does a peptide last once reconstituted?

We do not provide definitive stability timelines, as these products are supplied strictly for in-vitro research and laboratory purposes. In general research contexts, peptides in solution may begin to lose potency over time due to hydrolysis, oxidation, or other degradation pathways, with the rate of degradation influenced by factors such as temperature and light exposure.

Are the vials more potent than the pens?

The total peptide content per vial is clearly stated on the product label. Pre-filled pen devices are typically reconstituted at the point of manufacture, which may occur weeks or months prior to reaching the end user. By contrast, our lyophilised peptide vials are supplied in an unmixed state, meaning reconstitution occurs immediately prior to use in the research setting, ensuring the peptide is at its full labelled content at the time of preparation.
